Goodrich brings Mobile Business Solutions


Singapore - Goodrich Wallcoverings and Carpets Pte Ltd is now providing another service for their customers, dealers and sales representatives to access to their application system using an SMS (Short Message Service) based technology. The Goodrich Mobile Business service is an affordable, quick and convenient solution for users to undertake query of Goodrich product information and reservation of product orders through their personal mobile phones.

This mobile solution is provided by eMobile Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based wireless solutions provider. It enables Goodrich to provide an alternative channel for conducting product queries and stock reservations, thereby raising the level of customer satisfaction.

Goodrich, since its inception in 1983 as a supplier of interior wallcoverings, began expanding regionally in 1985. It has become the largest wall coverings company in South East Asia with 12 regional offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China today. With this new mobile SMS service, Goodrich's registered users will now be able to perform several business transactions. "By just keying simple SMS message text on the mobile phone, our users can now check available stocks and reserve these available stocks from all Goodrich warehouses any time, seven days a week, 24 hours a day", said Mr. C.B. Chan, Chairman of Goodrich.

Being a leader in their trade, Goodrich has adopted a proactive approach to accommodate increasing customer demands for such services. Mr. Tan Seng Hock, eMobile's Director congratulated Goodrich for the launch of this service. "This launch demonstrates that mobile applications can be applied to assist field sales staff and customers alike to access corporate inventory information in an effective manner", added Tan.
